Getting started
You can have a wedding live the same afternoon you start. Here is the whole flow.
- Create your studio. Sign in to the dashboard with the code your onboarding email gives you. Your studio name and colors brand everything your couples and guests see.
- Add a wedding. Choose Add a wedding, enter the couple's names, date, and venue, and pick a color theme.
- Import the guest list. Open Import guest list, download the template, fill it in, and upload it. See the guest-list guide below.
- Set the details. Add the schedule, seating, meals, and shuttle times. Each guest's app fills in automatically from their row.
- Send the links. Each guest has a personal link. Share them by text or email, and guests install their app in one tap.
Importing your guest list from a spreadsheet
The fastest way to fill a wedding is a CSV upload. In the wedding console, open Import your whole guest list from a CSV.
- Click Download template. It opens in Excel, Numbers, or Google Sheets.
- Fill one row per guest. The columns are First Name, Last Name, Party, Table, Meal, Dietary, Plus-One, Shuttle Time, Coming From, Email, Phone, and Accessible.
- You only need a name. Everything else is optional and can be added later.
- Save as CSV and click Upload. Every guest is created with their details in the right place, and each gets their own personal app link.
Cities with commas like "Boston, MA" are fine, and a spreadsheet saved by Excel works as is.
For your guests
Install on iPhone
- Open your personal link in Safari.
- Tap the Share button (a square with an arrow pointing up) at the top right, inside the address bar at the top of Safari.
- Choose Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add. The app appears on your home screen.
Install on Android
- Open your personal link in Chrome.
- Tap the menu in the top corner.
- Choose Add to Home screen or Install app.
- Confirm. The app appears with your other apps.
Turning on day-of alerts
So guests never miss the dinner call or a venue change, ask them to enable alerts after installing.
- Open the installed app from the home screen.
- Tap Enable alerts on the welcome card.
- Approve the prompt your phone shows. That is it.
If a guest misses the prompt, they can tap Enable alerts again any time from the app. Alerts only come from the coordinator running their wedding.
Finding the schedule, table, and shuttle
Everything is on the home screen of the guest app: the day's schedule, the guest's own table and meal, and their shuttle time and pickup point. The trip planner adds flights, hotels, cars, and directions for guests traveling in.
The concierge
Every wedding has a named guide in the guest app. Guests can ask it anything, day or night.
What it answers
- The schedule, their table, their meal, the dress code, and their shuttle.
- Local questions, like a good spot for coffee or where to park.
- Travel help through the trip planner.
Sending a request to the coordinator
If a guest needs something, they just tell the concierge. A guest saying "two chairs are missing from our table" becomes a clear action on your dashboard with the table already worked out. A calm note, like asking you to call them back, arrives as a regular request, not an urgent one. All guest-to-coordinator messages go through the concierge, so your team has one place to watch.
Urgency, done the wedding way
The concierge sorts what reaches you. Anything about safety or a guest left waiting shows in red so your team acts now. Everyday requests show in green. You see the next move, not a wall of messages.
Running the day
Broadcasts
From the wedding console, write a short message and send it to every guest's lockscreen at once. Use it for the first look, the dinner call, a shuttle update, or a venue change.
The live alert bar
Guest requests appear at the top of the console, sorted by urgency, each translated into a clear staff action with the table resolved. Tap Mark handled when your team has it.
The DJ booth
Share the booth link with your DJ. Guests send song requests from their app, filtered against the couple's must-play and do-not-play lists, and the DJ sees them stream in live.
Billing & plans
Invoicing a couple
In the dashboard, open Billing, create an invoice for a wedding, and send it. The couple gets a branded pay page and can pay by card. Paid and outstanding balances are tracked for you, and each wedding card shows what is due.
Your plan
Chapel has Solo, Studio, and Agency plans based on how many weddings you run at once. See the pricing page for what each includes. You can change plans as your book grows.
Account & privacy
Your branding
Your studio name and colors carry across every couple's app and your dashboard, so the whole experience reads as your business.
Your data and your guests' data
Guest lists are never shared between weddings or coordinators. You can delete a wedding and its guest data at any time. For the full picture, read our privacy policy.
Accessibility
We build Chapel to be usable by everyone. If something is hard to use, tell us at access@chapel.day and read our accessibility statement.
Common questions
Is Chapel an app guests download from the store?
No. Guests install it from a personal link in one tap, straight to the home screen. There is nothing to download from an app store and no account to create.
Do my couples see Chapel's branding or mine?
Yours. Every couple's app and your dashboard carry your studio name and colors.
What if a guest does not have the app on the day?
They can still open their personal link in a browser and see everything. Installing just adds the home-screen icon and lockscreen alerts.
Can two people from my team use the dashboard?
Today the dashboard signs in with your studio code. Multi-person team accounts are on the roadmap. In the meantime your team can share the day-of console on the floor.
How do guests get the right table and meal automatically?
From your guest list. Each guest's personal link is tied to their row, so their table, meal, dietary note, and shuttle load the moment they open the app.
Can I change a wedding's colors after I set it up?
Yes. Open the wedding and pick a different theme. The change flows through to every guest's app.
Is my guests' information secure?
Yes. Information is encrypted, access is limited to people you invite, and lists are never shared across weddings. We never sell your guest list, show ads, or send vendor spam. See the privacy policy.
Can I share the timeline with my vendors?
Yes. Open a wedding's console and share the live run-of-show link with any vendor. They see a read-only schedule that updates the moment you change the plan, with no app to download and no login. See running the day.
How do I get help fast on a wedding day?
Email hello@chapel.day with the wedding name and what you need. Day-of messages are our priority.
